The 271 is the most used model in the game. It has nearly 6” of parallel walls in the barrel with a long, slightly negative taper to the handle. The weight distribution of the 271 is out more into the barrel than the 110, but still has a nice balanced feel. It is a fast bat to swing, and has some decent power. This model tends to adapt well to nearly every hitting style. It does what you want it to do. It is no wonder that more models have spun off of the 271 base than any other bat. Like the 110 and the 243, the 271 is considered a “root” model. Because of its versatility, the 271 is an excellent entry level bat.
